1. How do I join?

First you will have to create a banner and put it up on your own server (for example: http://www.rapsheet.com/banners/artist-banner.jpg ).

Click on the "join" link at the bottom of the page and you;ll be assigned a membership code and taken through the steps required to create your own account.
Once your account is created, you'll be given HTML-code to insert on your own page. After you've inserted the code into one (or several) of your pages, you're all set.

2. What size/format does my banner have to be?

Your banner should be 468x60 pixels. Nothing larger and nothing smaller. It can either be a JPG or a GIF (animated or not). Linking to any other formats will cause your account to be deleted. Please make sure that you put the banner up on your own server before applying for an account and have the URL at hand.
Try to keep the banner size smaller than 15Kbytes. Anything larger than that will cause your account to be deleted.

3. How often will my banner be displayed?

For every two banners displayed on your site, your banner will be displayed once on one of the other participating sites. It will not be displayed on your own site.

4. When will my banner start being displayed?

Your banner will start showing up on the other particpating sites after you have properly set up the banner-display code on your own site. Note that all banners must point to hip hop sites. Non hip hop sites will have their accounts deleted

5. Can I put banner on several pages within my site?

Sure you can and you are welcome to do so. This will also give you extra credits for the display-ratio of your own banner.
When you do put ads on different HTML-Pages within your site, please make sure that you change the "page=XX" (in the HTML-code for the advertising) to different values for each of your pages. Otherwise the advertising program will not be able to properly compute the amount of banners shown on your site.

6. Can I also just display banners on my site if I do not have any banners of my own?

Sure you can and you are more than welcome to do so. Just insert the following code into your webpage:
